Summer! Where art thou?!

To ward off the cold winter blues, I'm posting some of my favorite pictures from last summer.
Here's Andrea on the boat.
Us girls at Bear Lake!
Aw! Home-slice!
This one is pretty self-explanitory.
We had such pretty Iris's this year.... my favorite grapey colored one.

Just a homebody.

Wow! How sad! I just blogged today, and yet, here I am again. Blogging=one more thing to get addicted to (ex. facebook, hotmail, gmail, pandora, google, etc.)
I realized the other day while I was sitting at our kitchen table how much college teaches you... here's a few, hope it holds up against boredom for my readers.

36 THINGS I LEARNED AT MY FIRST YEAR OF COLLEGE:
1. Everything costs money (harsh truth of growing up)
2. Just because I can stay up as late as I want, doesn't mean I should.
3. The library has a few decent chairs to doze in
4. Granola bars and other portable foods are a must!
5. Water in the BNR is a safety hazard (ew!)
6. It takes around 20 minutes to walk from Old Farm to the Fine Arts bldg.
7. Shower as late as possible at night for the warmest water
8. Never start a prank war with the guys next door around Halloween
9. I sleep talk (ask Tay-tay. Or better yet, don't ask her)
10. It is better to endure choir practice than to walk home in the cold
11. On the days you look your worst, everyone else looks their best
12. Russ starts his english 2010 class early
13. Don't expect a seat on the campus loop shuttle around 8-10 am
14. If you have a clear umbrella, expect everyone to stare at you
15. Just because it doesn't look like its not going to snow/rain, doesnt mean it wont
16. Rice bags are a wondrous invention, unless used too frequently
17. Label all your food!
18. A trip to Carrie's cures the case of the need of a good movie!
19. Always expect the unexpected with Valerie
20. My definition of a scary movies is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than Carli's
21. Always check the rating of a movie before watching
22. Everything always seems so expensive (who knew cinderblocks cost almost $2 a piece?)
23. Being the "cool" apartment with the heater off doesn't make us any warmer ;)
24. You can stretch the need to do laundry as long as needed
25. Don't procrastinate buying scantrons for exams. Buy them early!
26. Don't sit by the windows in the library if you intend to study
27. Ipods help when walking uphill
28. Chicken flavored Top Ramen is the best
29. Buy the big bags of cereal. trust me. you'll eat it all.
30. Always wear layers, over layers, over layers
31. Remember to turn phone on silent before class
32. Notice how people come out doors so you don't push on the wrong side
33. If you can constantly smell cigarette smoke, your probably walking behind a smoker
34. Look both ways before crossing the road
35. Be sure to zip up your backpack ALL THE WAY
and last but not least...
36. I really enjoy being home with the family much more than before

Brilliant brilliant brilliant I tell you!

I posted that youtube website in honor of my roommate Tay-tay. She started using the word "brilliant" so every time she does, we quote this part of the emperor's new groove.

Well, I haven't blogged in a while. Me and the roommies are officially addicted to Grey's Anatomy (if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it, but its ADDICTING BEWARE!) I would have to say my favorite character is Dr. Bailey. Love her!
So me and Keileigh went to the gym yesterday.... yes that's right. Me! Went to the gym! What crazy out-of-character thing will I do next?? All I can say is the ipod totally saved me, I wouldn't be able to run without it (which is funny because it took me forever to figure out how to work it). And Keileigh! That champ! I felt like such a weakling next to her constant long legged run. :)

I just realized this post is completely pointless.
Feel free to give me subjects to speak on!
Aloha!

MOVIE QUOTE #1

"That thing. That moment. When you kiss someone, everything around you becomes hazy, and the only thing in focus is you and this person. And you realize that this person is the only person that you're supposed to kiss for the rest of your life. And for one moment, you get this amazing gift, and you want to laugh, and you want to cry, cause you feel so lucky that you found it, and so scared that it will all go away all at the same time." -Josie Geller, Never Been Kissed

Kelsies Top 10 Movie Kisses:

Okay I can't take credit for this idea, but I'll put my own spin on it!
These are in no particular order.

1. Penelope: When Penelope unintentionally blows her cover and Johnny realizes it's her!

2. Ever After: When they are "abducted" by gypsys and playing rock-paper-scissors. then the gypsys make fun of them kissing.

3. Sweet Home Alabama: Melanie just leaves her second groom at the alter and goes to find Jake, in her wedding dress and its pouring rain.

4. Two Weeks Notice: George just wrote Lucy an apology in the form of a speech and he leaves, then she goes to follow him but she cant find him. Then she see's him and calls his name.

5. Never Been Kissed: Josie writes an apology for her newspaper to Mr. Coolson and tells him to meet her on the pitchers mound for her first kiss, and he is late.

6. While You Were Sleeping: Jack goes to the train station where Lucy works and gives her a ring instead of a token. The whole family watches.

7. Beauty and the Beast: Belle thinks that Beast is dead and then its magic! He transforms back into a human and when they kiss the spell over the castle is lifted!

8. You've Got Mail: Kathleen is waiting for the person she chats with online to reveal himself and it turns out to be Joe Fox who she secretly loved.

9. The Notebook: "Why didn't you write me?" "Write you? I wrote you everyday for a year! I wrote you 365 letters!"

10. He's Just Not That Into You: "You are my exception!"

Gotta love "Girl Talk" and also inconsiderate citizens/jerks of society.

Okay, first of all, what a title! No worries, I will explain myself!
I was extremely blessed and lucky when it came to roommates. Who would've thought 5 completely different girls would get along so awesomely? (Is that a word?) I must admit we were all a little worried when Ica moved out, and who would be taking her place. Lo and behold! Chelsee! (yes, it's awesome we pretty much have the same name). She is convinced she is sooo much older than us, which of course is completely not true, "you young ones". Yesh that's right. An actual Chelsee quote! So anyways this awesome new roommie of ours totally introduced me into the world of blogging (super cute blogging that is). Hence the cuteness of my blog! All hail Chelsee!

Okay so the "Inconsiderate citizens/jerks of society" part.
(one side note. when i asked what i should call these inconsiderate people in my blog, Tay-tay promptly said "citizens" while Chelsee answered with "jerks" thus! my abnormally long title.)

So I came home from work tonight, and while I made me some deliciously nutritious Top Ramen with Wheat Thins, Tay-tay told me this story that happened on the bus. (don't ask me how we got on that subject. i dunno.) Anyways, she said she was on the shuttle and it was packed-as usual- and a lady with her two year-old kid was waiting at those inconspicuous bus stops that you never notice because no one is never there. So the bus stopped and the lady got on, but she had to stand, while holding her kid, while clinging to the bar for dear life.
This got us two talking. If we were guys, (or nearer to the lady) we would've given up this seat for this lady! Or help people stranded on the side of the road! Or be more willing to help creepy guys because, "then we could beat them up if they tried to rob us!"
Yes. This is how we are entertained.
Well, I need to stop this late night blogging!
Aloha!

Finally!

It's pathetic how easily confused I get with technology. It just took me two hours to add music to my blog, when it only should have taken a few minutes! Sad! Now my shoulders are all tense (you know when you sit at a computer too long?) though I feel quite victorious. I did it! And now, you can enjoy some good music while reading my sadly lacking and inconsequential blog. But, I will definately try harder to entertain my readers when I have more time. Off to work, I go!
Aloha!

And so it begins.....

Hey everyone!
I must admit, I never saw myself ever starting a blog. I'm very new to all these technological advances! I just wanted to write one post before I signed off, (since it took me forever to think of a name for my blog!) If anyone has a better name please let me know! As for now, I'm off to bed!
Aloha
