"Get the cheese, Buttercup!" = Master of Disguise
Yay! Summer is just around the corner! It is most definately my favorite season in Utah. I cannot wait!
Yay for lists! Here is a list of my favorite things about summer!
1. The sun
2. No more cumbersome layers!
3. Riding in the car with the windows down
4. No school
5. Flowers
6. Night games
7. Watermelon
8. Walks
9. Lemonade
10. Reading books for pleasure
11. Getting tan
12. Jumping on the tramp
13. Falling asleep in some shade
14. Popsicles
15. Bonfires
16. Running through the sprinklers
17. Homemade root beer
18. Washing the car
19. Water fights
20. Staying up late
And Wa La! There's my "I Love Summer" list.
Okay now an update on things in my life!
So for as long as I can remember, I have been a nail biter. Kinda weird, I know, but recently I have felt such self control because I now have white tips on every single finger! No more "hobbit hands" for me! (well, at least as long as I can keep it up).
My roommate Chels introduced our apartment to cake cookies! Delicious! You make cookies out of cake mix, 1/3 cup oil, 1/4 cup water, and 1 egg then just cook them "until their done" Chelsee says. Yum!
So me, Ches and Kei make cake cookies with funfetti cake batter (our fav!) and then frosted them with rainbow chip frosting and it was delicious. We mainly made them for our new B1 friends who we met at our dance party/spinning contest but we kept some for ourselves as well.
The D.I. is my all time favorite place to waste time. Me and Chels went in search of a VCR because we've been dying to watch our old VHS/Disney movies and we hit jackpot! We found a smallish tv for $5 and Pearl Harbor on VHS for 1.50$! How awesome are we?! Plus we spent a good amount of time testing the awesome vintage couches and chairs.
I desperately need a haircut! Call an intervention! It's to an awkward stage where its really grown out so it doesn't look good no matter what I do with it, plus I've noticed the signs that come when I need a haircut. 1. I pick at my split ends and 2. I end up pulling it back in a bun or a ponytail before the end of the day.
I ended finishing my 8 page paper in two days of hard hard work. I had to finally buckle down and get to work. But now, it is finished and I don't have to worry about it anymore (although the due date did get pushed back 2 days). AWESOME.
Aloha.
ps. Winter still has a tight grasp on the city of Logan. Will summer prevail and show its shining face? Ever?

"Get the cheese, Buttercup!"
So I started using movie quotes for my titles, and I never say anything about what movies they come from so I'll get everything up to speed.
"Never trust a pirate" - this one is pretty obvious - Pirates of the Caribbean
"It cost a fortune to fly that in from Norwegia" - A Cinderella Story
"Even the smallest person can change the course of the future" - this one seems obvious if you know what movie it's from - Lord of the Rings
"Look at Al Pacino. Never been married. Happy as a clam." - He's just not that into you.
"There's nothing exotic about being an American." - P.S. I Love You
From now on, I'll say the movie that I quoted in the next blog. For example, in my next blog I'll start with where "Get the cheese, Buttercup!" came from.
Anyways. I have a 10 page persuasive research paper due next Tuesday for my english 2010 class and about 2 paragraphs in I got writers block. I figured I'd update this to get my creative juices flowing.
Well........... it's not working. Signing off.
Aloha.
