"Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?" - Monty Python
Wow! I cannot believe that I have been done with classes for almost a month! And It's been even longer since I bored you to tears with my thoughts of nothingness, which brings me here. I don't think I can say it enough... I love summer!
For all of you that were confused at the "hope of a new job" with my last post, (I know my blog is SOO interesting and therefore my readers check daily to see if I posted recently. I also know that although my sarcasm is natural and very thick, it can be hard to tell when reading words off of a screen. I'm sure one day I will write something that will just hit the right note or light a spark for just ONE person, but until then I will continue plugging away about things that are of self-importance.)I had applied for job after job at hospitals all across our great state. All my hard work proved successful and I am now employed at the hospital (I have yet to start though..)and I am stoked for it!
Working in a nursing home for a year and a half (it may not seem like a lot-but trust me-it was) really wore on me. Kudos to those working in one. You will forever have my respect! Yes, I really enjoyed becoming friends with my co-workers and getting to know the residents and their families (Hey I even ended up doing my final paper in my English class on nursing homes=different story).
When I picked home-slice up from school on the last day, I could tell something was wrong because he wasn't talking. He started crying because it was the last day of school and he was really going to miss his teacher, "because he is so so nice!" When I later told Mom about it, she informed me that I (ME!) used to cry on the last day of school when I was in elementary too. Me! Cry because school was over! Can you imagine?!
I was on a roll.... and writers block sets in. I'm blogged out.
Aloha.

Random blog hopping got me to this post. The rant about sarcasm made me laugh. Good luck with your job. :)
