Boo this nasty cold weather! It's only December and already I'm sick of digging my car out of the mound of snow that lands on it every flipping time I leave. In lieu of keeping of this pathetic subject of Utahs sucky winter months, I'll move along.
You people who know me are probably sick of hearing me talk about how I'm moving to Hawaii, but I'm going to do it some more, and you also probably know how I blog best in lists. Kudos to my faithful readers, here goes.
5 THINGS I WILL MISS MOST ABOUT UTAH:
1. My family. Yes this reason alone is almost enough to keep me on this continent, but sometimes you need to move away to fully appreciate what you have.
2. My friends. Although those who are not married, are more than welcome to come with me, (and the married ones can come visit, priorities ya know)
3. All the places that bring back memories. Pioneer day at Bear lake, the Oakley rodeo on the 4th of July, Temple Square at Christmas, Grandmas back porch, Getting sod in Idaho, backyard BBQ's, and etc.
4. Snow. Yes, this will also be on my "10 things I will NOT miss most about utah", but the snow does add to the spirit of Christmas and makes everything look cool, our own personal Narnia.
5. Fall. Logan may be frigid in the winter, but it's pretty in the fall, especially Logan and Sardine canyon.
So... A lot has been going on in just these past few weeks. I've been stressing about work, school, nursing and all the usual stuff.... and when I couldn't sleep I had an epiphany. Gotta love those. Everything just sorta combined and sorted itself out. Lately I've been wondering if nursing is really what I want to do for the rest of my life.... I mean I work right along side them, and granted, the difference between a nurse and a CNA is huge, I felt as though nursing is just a glorified cna job, just with more schooling and getting paid more. I have an awesome friend (Kar-lay I like to call her) Karlie, who is a pharmacy technician. On our trip in Provo, we were talking about work and stuff....and it started this tiny idea in my head. I mean, it was pretty obvious that I was jealous of her hours, but it was more than that. I did some investigating and it turns out that although school to become a pharmacist is 2 years longer than to become a registered nurse, it is easier to get into, has better hours, better work and everything. Because nursing and pharmacy prereqs are so close, I am pretty close. It does have more prereqs (like public speaking....shoot me) but I could be done with those super quick..... Everything is FINALLY falling into place, and I officially have my future sorted out.
Thanks for all the support. Aloha
ps. (who knows....there is a pharm school in Hawaii)
